The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z were launched along with the two flagship devices launched the company earlier this week. OnePlus has been working hard to improve their rating in the sound products since the start but seems they are not quite there yet. The device was launched along with the OnePlus 8 Series highlighted as the best flagship this year.
When it comes to wireless earphones OnePlus already hit the market when it launched OnePlus Wireless along with the OnePlus 6. The first-generation headphones did not receive the expected reviews from the users as it did not give the desired sound output. It somewhat had a FLAT voice according to some of the reviewers. It also lacked the latest Bluetooth version which did not provide the desired sound output.
The same happened with the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 launched with OnePlus 7. The only noticeable upgrade was the battery which gave 10 hours of backup on 10 minutes of charging. Also, the Bluetooth version seems upgraded which gave a little better output than the first-generation headphones. But again, judging by the price, the specs seemed a little low.
Coming to the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z, there have been significant updates except for the design which has not changed much except a different texture and feels to the headphones. The new magnetic buttons support regular actions like calling, voice assistant, volume, quick switch.
The only this highlighted by OnePlus is the battery of the device which is claimed to last 20 hours on a full charge. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z can go for 10 hours on a 10 minutes charge and can fully charge in 20 minutes. OnePlus claims they have added the WARP charge feature of their smartphones into wireless headphones. The charging method supported in the device is Type – C.
The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z is IP55 meaning it is dust and waters resistant and can be used while working out or on a beach without having to worry. It supports Bluetooth version 5.0 which means we are gonna see much better sound output this time from OnePlus. In the first-generation of these headphones, Bluetooth was a factor in deciding the sound quality among the users.
Another one the features spotted in the device was the quick switch features in the device which allows device switch for the headphones in just a click.
The device was launched with a price tag of $49.95 and now there is an option to choose from 4 colors including Oat, Mint, Blue, and Black. There is no official date for the headphones to be available yet and no particular reviews about the exact sound output of the device.
We are hoping to see a much better sound quality in the market for such a price range as there are much better options available in the market and unless the audio is at its best, there is no use of spending on the device for average sound output.
